![]() ![]() Here I got a SCULPT theme where I previously tweaked the workspace and saved the default startupfile.blend and also the userpref.blend files to a special folder inside this location on your PC: C:\Users\YOURMACHINE\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\startup\bl_app_templates_user\SCULPTĬreate the folder “bl_app_templates_user” and inside C:\Users\YOURMACHINE\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\startup\, place the folder “SculptingSession” with all the files unzipped to be able to choose this template at splash screen. Not very well integrated – it’s all a double entry.An application template is a special zip folder to tweak the UI, change the theme colors, customize shortcut keys and you can even launch custom addon presets based on your theme.Minimalized and combined properties workflows to be workflow orientated.Proposed a new scene creation system from the Sidetoolbar and new system for tools (dropdown header menu, not so keen on that though).Proposed a new viewpor and render panels.Combined particles, constraints and physics all into one modifier stack +. ![]() Here is a video that explains how the user interface is laid out. I have been working on a Application Template for Blender that’s goal is to improve the user interface and usability for Blender. ![]() is it worth inviting him to be a part of the team? He seems he has his head on straight. Wanted to share and discuss, and also wonder…. He hasn’t made many changes to the core code, just made a teplate/addon architecture as replacement for the general UI system. I just stumbled upon a Blender template with some… really amazing workflow and UI improvements done initially to 2.79 and now willing to work on 2.8. ![]()
